There will not be any mid-six weeks progress reports coming home due to the new grade portal that is available at all times. If you do not have the log-in information that was sent out attached to the last grade card please contact guidance at 476.0630. If you do not have internet access from home you can use the grade portal located at Wal-mart.

On the grade portal for Math, there are two grades per week. The first is a homework average. There are 4 assignments (Monday - Thursday) issued each week. These are worth 25 points a piece. Therefore, completing and turning in all four assignments would result in a 100% for the week as they are completion grades. Accuracy is tested at the end of each week with a quiz or test on every Friday. These assessments are reflected in their tests/quiz averages. If you notice an "X" this is because your child has not completed that assignment or test. It is their responsibility to schedule a time to make up all missing work.

Week of September 7-10

Students will be reading the novel, The Cay.  They will keep a log of characters and descriptions from the novel, as well as have an academic vocabulary quiz on Friday.  Additionally, students should be doing independent reading at home from their library books.

The first library summary/AR test will be due on October 5.  This Wednesday will be the Walking Horses fall field trip.  The cost for the trip is $5, and permission slips and money will be due Tuesday, September 7.  Parents are welcome to attend (please send an additional $5 to cover expenses for chaperones).
